This small still life shows a pewter heart ornament with decorative patterns and the word “hope” embossed on the face. I bought the ornament at a low point in my life when I wasn’t sure anything was going to work out the way I had hoped, and it rode with me in my car for a long time, to remind me that there is always a spark of hope out there for us.
